About The Silo Art Trail

The Silo Art trail runs from Rupanyup, north east of Horsham Victoria, to Patchewollock 200 km to the north. The project saw a team of renowned artists from Australia and across the world visit the region, meet the locals and transform decomissioned grain silos into epic works of art, each one telling a unique story about the host town.

Our trip leaves Lilydale Airport early on Saturday morning, flying a short hop in our comfortable twin engine Navajo to Horsham. From there we drive the trail from bottom to top photographing all the painted silos, any landscapes we like the look of and stopping for a picnic lunch along the way.

After our leasurely trip along the trail we meet our aircraft at Patchewollock, where the silo art ends at it's northern point, however, the day isn't over yet.

After take-off we head for Lake Tyrrell, a large pink salt lake, where you'll have an opportunity to try your hand at aerial photography in the late afternoon light, it really is an amazing sight.

By car from Melbourne this is a round trip of 1030 km and requires 3 days to do comfortably, one to drive to the area, one to do the trail and one to drive home, two nights accommodation, meals etc.
Our trip is an easy day from Lilydale and we'll have you home for dinner.

This adventure is $897 including lunch. See our terms and conditions. Click below to find out about our earlybird discount!
